hello.

Hi, I’m Emily. I’m a Brooklyn-based illustrator, designer, and teaching artist. Born and raised in Maplewood, NJ, I grew up surrounded by art and culture, and from a young age knew I loved to create.

I graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design (‘21) in Savannah, GA with a BFA in Illustration. Since leaving SCAD, I’ve taken on all different kinds of illustration projects, from healthcare marketing design to editorial illustrations for major publications, like the Wall Street Journal. I’ve also designed logos for different alcohol and cannabis brands, as well as other local businesses.

In addition to working as a freelance illustrator, I also teach art to both children and adults in New Jersey and NYC. I’ve lead open model sessions, Drag & Draw workshops benefitting LGBTQIA+ charities, Paint and Sip classes, and after school art and portfolio building classes for kids and teens.

I have also organized artisan maker markets like the Lonely Hearts Bazaar at Pink Bird Studio, a collaborative art-making space I owned with fellow NJ-born and raised artist Alexis Caruso.

I have a lot of experience under my belt, and I’m eager to continue creating. My goal as an artist is to make art and art-making more accessible, and to empower and enchant through visual means.

Let’s work together!
